DP HOST

Brazil and the United States

Where your VPS lives

DP HOST VPS servers run in two certified data centers: one in Osasco, in Greater São Paulo, and one in downtown Miami, connected to Brazil by submarine cables. You choose the city when you order.

The two data centers

São Paulo, Brazil

A data center in Osasco, in Greater São Paulo, the country's main internet traffic exchange hub.

The best choice when your audience is in Brazil: lower response times for visitors in Brazil, in every region of the country.

Tier III building

Certified for design and construction: maintenance without shutting equipment down, with redundant power and cooling paths.

N+1 power

UPS units and diesel generators with spare capacity: if one unit fails, another takes over.

N+1 cooling

Climate control with a backup unit to keep server temperatures stable.

24/7 physical security

Biometric access, surveillance cameras and entry control around the clock.

Network

Direct connections to Tier 1 carriers and internet exchange points (IX), with multiple fiber routes.

Efficiency

Operations certified for energy management (ISO 50001) and environmental management (ISO 14001).

Side by side

Plans and configuration are the same in both cities. Only the server's location and the monthly price change.

On your VPSKVM virtualization, NVMe SSD, root access, IPv4 and IPv6, unmetered traffic (fair use), basic DDoS protection (L3/L4)

Data center information as published by the operators and infrastructure partners. Your application's real-world performance also depends on your internet provider and your distance from the server.

From the building to your VPS

Each layer rests on the one below it. Choose one to see what it does and who takes care of it.

Your VPS

A virtual server all your own, with full root access, 7 Linux versions to choose from, IPv4, IPv6 and unmetered traffic (fair use). You start, stop and reinstall it from the client area.

Who takes care of it: you manage the system; DP HOST delivers the VPS and looks after the infrastructure, with the availability defined in the SLA.

Network protection

How we protect your VPS, the network and our other customers.

Basic DDoS protection

The data center's basic protection against network-layer DDoS attacks (L3/L4), to keep the network stable.

Protecting every customer

If an attack threatens the network or other customers, the targeted IP may be subject to mitigation, traffic limiting or a temporary block (null route).

Attacks on websites

Application-layer attacks (HTTP/HTTPS) are not covered. For public-facing websites, we recommend putting Cloudflare in front of your VPS: see the free step-by-step guide or order the setup done by DP HOST for US$ 39.33 (R$ 199.90 BRL), a one-time fee. Both links are in Portuguese.

Port 25 blocked

Outgoing email on port 25 is blocked by default to prevent spam and protect the IPs' reputation. If you need it, request unblocking through a support ticket and explain why.

Prices in US dollars are estimates. We bill in Brazilian reais (BRL), converted at the Central Bank of Brazil PTAX rate of R$ 5.0826 per US$ 1 (Oct 16, 2026). Your card issuer sets the final amount.

Measure the distance to the server

Right from your browser, the test measures how long a request takes to reach the data center and come back. The lower the number, the faster the site feels to visitors.

Infrastructure questions

Does DP HOST own the data centers?

No. The buildings, power and cooling belong to specialized data center operators, with the certifications listed on this page. DP HOST takes care of your VPS, the client area and support.

Which city should I choose?

São Paulo, if your audience is in Brazil: response times are lower. Miami, if your audience is international or if the lowest price is your priority. Plans and configuration are the same in both cities.

Can I switch cities later?

Switching isn't automatic at the moment. If you need to, open a ticket and we'll explain the options for your case.

Is my VPS backed up?

Backups aren't included: daily backup is an optional add-on (from US$ 2.54/mo (R$ 12.90 BRL), keeping the last 3 days; see pricing (in Portuguese)). The data center's redundancy protects against power outages and building failures, but it doesn't replace copies of your data. Even with backups, we recommend keeping copies outside the VPS.

How do I know everything is working?

The status page shows the state of our services and any scheduled maintenance, and it refreshes on its own every minute.

Can I order from outside Brazil?

For now, sign-up requires a Brazilian CPF or CNPJ (taxpayer ID), and we bill in Brazilian reais (BRL) by Pix, boleto or card. If you're outside Brazil and interested, email us at contato@dphost.com.br.
